Mental Health Hub

AUB offers a range of mental health and wellbeing resources for students, faculty, and staff. Below is an overview of the services available to you on campus.

Resources on Campus

Counseling Center

Free

Provides short-term psychological support and crisis intervention at no cost to AUB students. The goal is to help students build awareness, independence, and healthier daily habits. Appointments can be booked through the online calendar system and are offered on a first-come, first-serve basis.

University Health Services (UHS)

HIP coverage may apply

UHS family physicians are trained to identify mental health concerns, prescribe medications when appropriate, and provide ongoing follow-up. If specialist care is needed, they can refer students to AUBMC psychologists or psychiatrists.

HIP members: If you are enrolled in AUB's Health Insurance Plan, you have mental health coverage for both inpatient and outpatient care. Terms and conditions apply. Contact the benefits office to learn more about your coverage.

Department of Psychiatry

Referral may apply

Students, faculty, and staff can access psychiatric and psychological care through the Department of Psychiatry. Those referred by UHS are seen as part of regular care. If you are not a HIP member, you can also contact the department directly. Services include outpatient visits, Emergency Department access, and inpatient care when necessary.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

Free · No referral needed

AUB employees can access free, confidential counseling through the Employee Health Department. Sessions are led by trained psychologists from the AUBMC Department of Psychiatry. No referral is required to get started.
